Alana KalinowskiAssociate BA (Hons), Juris Doctor
Alana is a skilled dispute resolution lawyer, working as a key member of our litigation team. She helps clients navigate various civil and commercial disputes in areas including contract, estates, construction, trade practices, residential and commercial property, debt collection and insolvency.
Alana obtained her Bachelor of Arts with honours, and her Juris Doctor (Law Degree) in Canada. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in Canada in 2015 and went on to practice as a litigation solicitor in a large Canadian law firm before moving to New Zealand in 2017. She is admitted to practice in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Extremely client focused, Alana was drawn to the law by a desire to help people resolve their issues. She is skilled at extracting relevant information from all parties to help resolve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Where a negotiated settlement is not possible, Alana’s experience includes advocacy in the Court of Appeal, High Court, District Court and various specialist Tribunals.
Alana is a member of the Auckland Women Lawyer’s Association and the New Zealand Animal Law Association. She also regularly volunteers at the Citizens Advice Bureau providing pro bono legal advice to members of the community.
Outside of Work, Alana enjoys traveling locally and abroad.
