Karolina Lepiesza

Karolina is a Law Clerk at Smith and Partners Lawyers, where she primarily supports the firm’s civil litigation team. With a strong academic and professional background, she brings a thoughtful and analytical approach to legal work, grounded in both local and international experience.

Karolina holds a Bachelor of Laws from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and History from the University of London, reflecting a deep interest in the intersection of law, society, and governance. Originally from Poland, she has travelled extensively, enriching her global perspective and adaptability in diverse legal contexts.

Before joining Smith and Partners, Karolina gained valuable experience working in government roles and within the New Zealand District Court system, where she developed a strong foundation in procedural law and public service. She also has hands-on experience in dispute resolution, assisting in matters involving negotiation, mediation, and court proceedings—skills that enhance her ability to support clients through complex and often sensitive legal disputes.

At Smith and Partners, Karolina focuses on civil litigation, assisting with case preparation, legal research, and client communications. Her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to justice make her a trusted member of the litigation team.

Outside of work, Karolina is a proud Mama to two young children, who keep her happily busy and entertained. Life is full of activity, but whenever she gets a quiet moment, she enjoys reading and tackling cryptic crosswords— fun ways to unwind and keep her mind sharp.
