Litigation ExecutiveA key member of the dispute resolution team, Mikayla Sagar specialises in assisting clients with PPPR applications and debt collection, with particular focus on of the process of making demand, Statutory Demands and enforcing judgment.
Working closely with Litigation Director, Carolyn Ranson, Mikayla ensures that family members receive comprehensive guidance when they are seeking appointment as Property Manager and/or Welfare Guardian under the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act.
As part the debt collection team, assisting Senior Associate Nathan Tetzlaff and Solicitors Vicki Poland and Duncan Lang, Mikayla works to achieve successful recovery for Smith & Partners’ clients. Whether it’s recovering unpaid invoices or outstanding loans, with her detailed knowledge and strategic approach, Mikayla’s skills increase the likelihood of prompt payment and resolution, and provide a solid foundation for successful enforcement and collection efforts.
Mikayla’s academic background is in Criminology and Sociology. This and her previous experience as litigation assistant at Smith and Partners provides a solid foundation for appreciating the intricacies of varied client requirements. Her attention to detail and empathetic approach set her apart, ensuring that clients receive personalised service tailored to their unique circumstances. She understands the importance of efficient and economical resolution and strives to provide a seamless experience for clients.
With highly developed critical thinking skills, Mikayla is able to identify and analyse a variety of options in most situations, She takes context and ultimate objectives into consideration from the outset.
Outside of work, Mikayla is an avid sports fan – she frequently supports her peers on the sideline of their games, plays netball herself, and keeps up with local and international sport. Mikayla also enjoys music, reading in her spare time, and entertaining friends at home.
